At JFA we believe that a church is a FAMILY.
The good news of the gospel message is that believers of Jesus Christ are adopted into the family of God.
Therefore, we are a church...we are FAMILY.
It is important to know what we value as a FAMILY.
Those values determine and drive everything we do.
We have a passionate culture that seeks to bring the life of Jesus Christ to Delaware county.
Our church family is far from perfect; however, we are striving everyday to be more like our
Father God and there is room for you at the table!

When Charity and I had our first date in the Fall of 2003, we knew we were in for something special. Our first date was interrupted because we had to go lead worship for a community event. That first date would symbolize our lives and our ministry. The truth is we wouldn’t change it for the world.
In 2008 Charity and I got married, and we made the decision to dedicate our lives to the calling of God for ministry. Ministry has become our purpose and our passion.
We started in ministry as volunteers, serving in any capacity we could, in our home church in Woodward, OK. We were given many wonderful opportunities that prepared us for our next assignment.
In 2010 God opened a door of ministry at Verdigris Assembly as full time Student Pastors and Worship Leader. We spent the next eight years serving that church and community. Those years on staff were truly some of the best years of our lives. God was faithful and showed favor and blessing on our family.
Knox joined our family in November, 2011. Knox is an amazing kid who loves Jesus, M&M’s and has plans to grow up, become Spider-Man, move to New York City and fight bad guys. We love that our son has big dreams to help serve other people with his life.
In 2019, God opened a door to serve as the lead pastors at Jay First Assembly. From the first time we step into the JFA we knew that we were HOME. The people at JFA are some of the friendliest, genuine and passionate people we have ever had the privilege of knowing. JFA is our FAMILY.
When God moved Charity and I to Delaware County, He laid a vision on our hearts for what a church could be. Our vision for the church is to be a group of people who passionately value and pursue the things of God, and allow those values to impact their community. We believe when we value the things God values, that it will make a difference in the community we live in. There are a lot of needs around us, but those needs are not too big for the family of God to make a difference. We believe the local church is the hope for Delaware County.
Living for God is an adventure, and we are so excited for the adventure that God is leading our church family on! You don’t want to miss the adventure. You may have noticed we talked about family a lot around JFA. That is because we value the family of GOD, and we would LOVE for you to be a part of OUR FAMILY! Charity and I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the family!
